Meet Our Founder
Deb Marweg
Owner, Certified Yoga Therapist with Yoga International Association of Yoga Therapists/E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance/Certified Ayurveda Yoga Teacher/YCEP
I have been a dedicated yoga studio owner since 2004, creating a space rooted in compassion, learning, and inclusivity. I am a E-500 RYT, a Certified Yoga Therapist, and a Certified Ayurveda Yoga Teacher and continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing study with the Mohan family of Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda.
My teaching is grounded in the belief that yoga should be accessible to every body. My classes welcome students of all ages, abilities, and body types, with thoughtful adaptations that honor individual needs. I firmly believe that poses should be adapted to meet the student, not the other way around. From the very beginning, my vision for the studio has been to cultivate a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and welcome. I love teaching all levels of yoga, Svastha Yoga, as well as conducting 200 hour and 300 hour Yoga Teacher trainings.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bill, and cherishing moments with my children and grandsons.

Liana Roman
Owner, E-RYT 200, RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, YACEP, Barre Certified
The yoga philosophy I believe in wholeheartedly is that yoga is for everybody and every BODY. A yoga student can be any size, color, age, race or gender to practice; yoga truly is a way to connect us all.
I began my first teacher training at Now and Zen back in 2019, and that is when my personal practice deepened as well. I was teaching by 2020, and have since completed multiple 200 hour trainings, a 300 hour training, a Trauma Informed Yoga for Youth program and two yoga philosophy trainings in India with the Mohans. I have also managed the studio for Deb for the past five years, and most recently came on as owner of the studio with Deb as well. What I love about Now and Zen is that our goal is to make sure every student feels connected to their practice in a safe, supportive environment that is grounded in the foundation of yoga philosophy.
I believe that our yoga practice extends beyond the mat, and into our everyday lives. I try to live that philosophy every day, as a vegan, herbalist, yoga teacher and practitioner…and a kind human.

Bill Marweg
Certified Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapists/RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance
I began practicing yoga in the early 1990s as my wife Deb Marweg’s first student. I completed the 200-hour teacher training at Now and Zen and later the Svastha Yoga Therapy program in 2014. I am a certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I continue to study with the Mohan family in the United States and India and am honored to be part of their teachings. My approach emphasizes simplicity, breath awareness, and steadiness in body and mind, with a focus on helping students apply the ancient teachings of yoga in practical, meaningful ways to modern life.
I enjoy teaching accessible, foundational classes and being part of the Now and Zen Teacher Training program. Through teaching yoga and coaching with APEX Coaching, I support physical and mental well-being while valuing time with family and friends and a life rooted in health, presence, and purpose.

Annette Mackay
RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance
I came to yoga in 2003 with a rich background in both formal and informal personal development training. As a student and facilitator, my focus has consistently been on bringing out each person’s personal power and uniqueness. I was and continue to be drawn to yoga for its profound integration of the heart, soul, mind and body. The initial appeal of yoga was my desire to “slow the clock.” While I accomplished that, I found so much more. I discovered my calm, my center and the place where I am unique, powerful and “special enough.
As a yoga instructor my goal is that each person in class experiences their uniqueness and finds the place inside where they are special and powerful – where being who they are is “enough.”

Cathy Gravish
RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance
I have been practicing yoga on & off since the early 80’s with videos and Lilia’s Yoga on PBS!
As a Physical Therapist by profession, making movement and activity safe and accessible to people of all abilities has been a continual goal. In 2001, while undergoing treatment for, and recovery from, breast cancer I developed a regular yoga practice. I found it to be the most accessible form of exercise then, as I do now–not only the asanas (poses) for movement but the practice of turning inward to find awareness and contentment.
I found my way to Now & Zen in 2010. It has been such a welcoming, nurturing environment that I knew it was time to learn more. There is a saying that the right teacher arrives when the student is ready and that has been Deb! I earned my RYT 200 hour certificate as part of the 2012 class and have been enjoying teaching Foundations of Yoga. It’s an honor to be helpful in making yoga accessible, in its many forms, to anyone at any age.
